The Pedigree Package is something to strive for. This is the best way to show your puppy's new owner that you practice responsible breeding without crossing bloodlines.
The Certified Purebred Database will only register purebred puppies and mature canines as class A. If the sire and dam of your litter are registered to the CPD and the sire and dam registration numbers are entered on the litter application, your puppies are automatically class A certified. After four generations of registered canines, you can request a CPD Pedigree Package. At this point, all puppies born after four generations will hold class AA registration.
From this Pedigree Package, you will be able to trace the family history of your new puppy. This includes four generations of lineage. This is ideal for someone who may have concerns about inbreeding. The price of the Certified Purebred Database Pedigree Package is $25.
If you are a breeder, sometimes it can get confusing when it comes time to keep records. The Certified Purebred Database simplifies this for you. With this package, registration numbers, litter numbers and dates of birth are available from the CPD for updating your records or if they are lost or destroyed.
Please Note: This package is not for new registrants. If the letters "NR" appear beside the sire and or dam's name on your registration certificate, your Pedigree Package will have your dog as the first and only registrant with the CPD. There are no refunds on Pedigree Packages that are ordered before a four generation lineage. Your dog's registration number will consist of at least 11 digits after four generations.
